Rüya was appointed as BCB’s Head of Legal in 2022, working closely with its departments to provide quality and timely legal advice. She trained as a lawyer before becoming an Associate at Eversheds Sutherland in 2016, working in its Financial Services Disputes and Investigations team.
Rüya also completed a secondment as a regulatory lawyer at Lloyds Banking Group from 2017 to 2018 and has served as a part-time Special Constable for London’s Metropolitan Police since 2020. In 2025, she was shortlisted as In-House Legal Leader of the Year by Law.com.
